Reimagining the Accounts Receivable Experience

ChaseFlow, a forward-thinking Singapore-based fintech, identified a critical barrier to growth for SMEs and accounting firms: the hidden cost of accounts receivable. Businesses were losing valuable time and emotional energy manually chasing late payments, a process that often strained client relationships and contributed to employee fatigue and burnout.

ChaseFlow saw an opportunity to change the narrative. Their vision was not just to help businesses collect payments faster, but to humanize the process through technology.

They aimed to build a platform where cash flow management was effortless, professional, and compliant. Their goals were to reduce the repetitive stress of chasing invoices, enable businesses to scale operations without increasing headcount, and maintain high-touch, professional engagement with every client.

Delivering ChaseFlow MVP1 in Six Weeks with AI-Assisted Coding

Slash partnered with ChaseFlow to design and build MVP1 of the ChaseFlow platform, providing the initial technical foundation needed to validate and launch the product.

Using Slash’s combined approach of AI-powered tooling, AI-powered design, and AI-assisted coding and engineering, the team delivered a secure, end-to-end SaaS MVP in just six weeks.

The ChaseFlow MVP1 platform was built using:

  • Replit and AI-assisted coding for rapid prototyping and iterative development
  • Self-hosted n8n workflow automation running in AWS
  • AI Voice Agents for natural, human-like interactions

This approach enabled the team to develop and test complex AI-powered workflows quickly while maintaining a strong focus on reliability, robustness, and security.

Following the completion and handover of MVP1, the ChaseFlow team continued the development and evolution of the platform independently, building on the initial foundation established during the engagement with Slash.

The AI-Assisted Platform and Workflow Automation Included

  • Conversational Voice & Email AI Agents: Slash developed AI agents capable of managing end-to-end invoice communications on behalf of ChaseFlow’s customers. This included automated email follow-ups and escalations, as well as AI-driven follow-up calls delivered in a natural and professional tone.
  • Automated Repayment Plan Workflows: The system was designed to support the negotiation and approval of repayment plans within predefined parameters, helping ChaseFlow’s customers resolve payment issues faster and with less manual intervention.
  • Human-in-the-Loop Architecture: While AI handled repetitive and time-consuming tasks, humans remained in control of key decisions. Escalations, approvals, and strategic decisions could be routed to staff within ChaseFlow’s customer organisations, helping maintain appropriate oversight and compliance.

A critical factor in the speed of the MVP1 delivery was the strong day-to-day collaboration between the ChaseFlow team and Slash’s engineering squad, enabling rapid iteration, testing, and continuous refinement throughout the six-week engagement.

The Outcome

Slash delivered MVP1 of ChaseFlow as a production-ready SaaS platform and automation workflow in under six weeks, giving ChaseFlow the foundation to launch its solution and begin delivering value to SMEs and accounting firms.

Following the MVP1 engagement, the platform was handed over to ChaseFlow, whose team has since continued developing and operating the product independently.

Challenge
ChaseFlow set out to transform account receivable from a stressful, manual burden into a scalable, relationship-focused asset for SMEs. The immediate goal was to deliver the first functional platform and workflow version in weeks, not months, without compromising security or complexity.
Solution

For MVP1, ChaseFlow integrated generative and conversational AI agents to automate email follow-ups, repayment plan negotiations, and follow-up calls directly through its SaaS platform. Slash accelerated the initial delivery using AI-assisted coding and workflow automation tools such as n8n, enabling rapid iteration and deployment within the MVP1 engagement. Following the handover, the ChaseFlow team continued developing and evolving the platform independently.
